Supermarket 2011/ID:I
I am working with a project about jaquard weaving. On supermarket Johanna Schartau I shown the part two together with the earlier work 4800 threads . The new part in the film is from a small jauqardweaving in the mountains, Les Sauvages, outside Lyon in France where I was earlier this year and filmed. “I am fascinating of these old technology with punched cards which are the beginning to our computer system today. The jaqaurd weaving was invent by Josepth Marie Jaquard in the beginning of 19 th century”.
