This is a short film with a lot of sound about jacquard weaving. Jacquard weaving invented by Joseph Marie Jaquard from Lyon 1805.
By using punched cards they could weave complicated patterns with only one pedal. The technique of  jacquard was an early application of binary
digital technology that is the basis for today’s computers. The film is from a weaving mill outside Lyon, France and in Stockholm, Sweden.
